5 Day Safari Serengeti
This 5 day safari Serengeti starts and ends in Arusha Town and it involves two nights spent in Serengeti where you will have great sights of the Great Migration which is determined by the time you travel, you will enjoy game drives through the plains. You will also have an opportunity to visit Lake Manyara National Park which is an amazing place with spectacular views occupied with different bird species and wildlife such as hippos, antelopes etc. Before you head back to Arusha you will visit the Ngorongoro Crater one of the world’s best UNESCO Sites with a high wildlife concentration such as warthogs, lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras as well as birds.

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Lake Manyara
Pick up from the hotel in Arusha after breakfast and set off for the 2 and a half hours journey to Lake Manyara which is a distance of 130km. Lake Manyara is a dramatic park which is home to a number of wild life and also the shallow soda lake which attracts many flamingos, also the park is home to over 400 bird species and is known for having a big number of elephants and other animals like hippos, giraffes, monkeys, antelopes and tree climbing lions.
Have a drive through the park, later have dinner and spend a night at the lodge you choose.
Day 2: Leave Lake Manyara for Serengeti
After breakfast embark on the 6 hours journey to Serengeti via Karatu and Ngorongoro. You will descend into land with endless plains called Serengeti; continue to Seronera area which is in the heart of the park and features the Seronera River which provides water to animals hence large numbers of wildlife are found there.
You will arrive after midday, enjoy lunch it and set out for a game drive through the park and in the evening have dinner and an overnight at your lodge of choice.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
On this day you will have Serengeti to yourself enjoying viewing game while on game drives. After breakfast, head out on a morning game drive through the plains just south of the River Seronera where you will be able to see animals like Loins, topis, Thomson gazelles, wildebeests, cheetahs and ostriches.
Have a lunch picnic surrounded by acacia trees and calm environment and in the afternoon continue with game viewing as you also visit the Maasai Kopjes, in these Kopjes always attract big cobras and Lions and other wildlife species. It is remarkable experience, after drive back to the lodge and relax there.
Day 4: Depart for Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning after breakfast, leave Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro on a 4 hours journey having a stopover at the Olduvai Gorge a place where the human oldest skull was discovered, visit the small museum there and proceed to Ngorongoro.
Arrive at the park, have lunch just slope over 600 metres to the bottom of the crater where you will see a variety of birds and wildlife species such as elands, warthogs, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, zebras as well as a lot of flamingos and hippos that are attracted by Lake Magadi which is located in the southwest of the crater. Drive back to the lodge for dinner.
Day 5: To Arusha Town
Enjoy a hefty breakfast and drive back to Arusha, have lunch there and your driver guide will drop you off at the airport or the hotel.
